The Department of Correctional Services is hiring an Administration Officer: PROCUREMENT REF NO: HO 2022/10/55.

CENTRE: National Head Office, Pretoria
The storeroom manager is responsible for the procurement of IS equipment, as well as the delivery, payment and distribution of this equipment to clients and stakeholders. They also monitor the suppliers’ SLAs in line with SMS contracts, and provide administrative support to the IS management team. Additionally, they act as secretariat to the ITC committee, and provide assistance with end user support. Finally, they are responsible for the management of resources and assets.
You will need to have excellent communication and report-writing skills to be successful in this role. A good understanding of MS Windows XP/7 as well as the MS Office suite is also required. Furthermore, it would be beneficial if you had a good understanding of Linux/Ubuntu and Open Office. You should be able to function autonomously and be self-driven. Additionally, it is important that you have good customer relations and are able to communicate effectively. Finally, you should be quick thinking, innovative, creative, and assertive in order to be successful in this role.
A recognized degree or national diploma in Computer Science along with A+ and N+ accreditations with a minimum of 2 years experience working in a networked environment. The ability to use computers for basic functions. A valid driver’s license. The following skills are required:
